Volunteer Opportunities & Descriptions

Keeping the Sports Booster organization effectively running takes a small commitment from lots of our parents.  Please take a look at our various committees below and see if there are ways that you can contribute.  We welcome, appreciate, and NEED help of all kinds! Maybe there is a way you can help that we haven’t even thought of yet!  All of these committees NEED MORE THAN ONE person to run them effectively.  Duties can be split among interested members.  Don't worry...you will always have guidance and someone to help answer questions and move you in the right direction.  

Adult Social Event – Branham typically hosts at least one social event to help raise money.  This usually includes auction items, raffles, nice dinner, etc.  This event can be altered or different from year to year. 

Booster Liaison Lead(s) - Responsible for recruiting liaisons for each sports team at Branham and communicating all relevant Sports Boosters information to each Team Booster Liaison.  Liaison lead will serve as the connection between Boosters and each sports team.  

Flea Market – Oversee the monthly flea market held at Branham.  Responsible for coordinating sport team volunteers, purchasing supplies, and vendor coordination.

Fundraising - Oversee fundraising subcommittees and ensure they are compliant with guidance provided as well as finding and implementing additional fundraising avenues as requested.

• Donations – Branham Sports Boosters is a 501c3 and solicits donations from many businesses for items that can be used for raffles, auctions, and giveaways throughout the year.  Lists of previous donors and tracking information can be provided.  

• Free Money Fundraising – Ensure we are maximizing our free money opportunities like Amazon Smile, escrip, matching gifts, etc.

Merchandise – Bruins merchandise is sold at most home athletic events as well as many events on campus.  This committee is responsible for ordering, maintaining inventory, and coordinating set up at events.  

Senior Scholarships – Sports Boosters awards at least 3 scholarships to Senior athletes.  This committee will be responsible for reviewing scholarship requirements, reviewing applicants, and awarding scholarships in May. 

Snack Shack – Oversee the concession stand during all home football games.  Includes volunteer management, purchasing, and being responsible for proper food handling.  

Social Media – Responsible for ensuring Booster information is shared through our Booster social channels and other Branham social channels including Facebook and Instagram.  

Volunteer Outreach – Are you a natural people person and have a knack for making others feel welcome?  We'd love to have you help us continue to grow parental involvement among all the sports teams at all levels.  

Volunteers (Hourly) – Several of our committees need volunteers who will work a shift or two to cover various areas Sports Boosters are responsible for operating.  Each parent/guardian is asked to volunteer at least two shifts throughout the year.  Some of these opportunities are Football Snack Shack, Sports Banquets, Merchandise, and Flea Market.  

Website - Responsible for updating all Booster website content as well as ensuring Booster information is shared through other avenues including School Loop, Branham website, Home Campus, and other places.
